The 6 B's Therapeutic Model is beneficial in a children's care home because it promotes a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where residents can feel valued and understood. By focusing on safety, belonging, strong relationships, self-belief, skill development, and personal growth, the model helps improve emotional wellbeing, build trust between residents and staff, and encourage independence. This holistic, trauma-informed approach supports residents in maintaining their dignity, confidence, and overall quality of life while creating a positive and caring community.

Clair Davies MBE has worked in Children’s Homes for 35 years, starting as a volunteer and working her way to RI/Director. She is passionate about enabling teams to embed therapeutic care in their day-to-day practice with children and evidence this and how it improves outcomes.
Clair does this by providing 7 days’ training face to face including PACE, attachment, building social and emotional competence and self-esteem. This is supported by 1 ½ hour a month reflective consultation for the team and 1 ½ hour reflective supervision for the Registered Manager.

Meet Our Registered Manager – Zoe
Zoe is the Registered Manager at Cherry Blossoms Care Services, leading our team to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic home for children and young people. She ensures the home meets Ofsted standards while creating a positive environment where every child can feel safe, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.
Zoe's Roles & Responsibilities include;
Leading and managing the home
Ensuring Ofsted compliance
Safeguarding children and young people
Supporting and supervising staff
Overseeing care plans and wellbeing
Working with families and professionals
Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment
Helping children achieve positive outcomes
